| Our Completely staffed and
equipped test facility has conducted over 18,000 tests on various
food, chemical, and pharmaceutical products. New products or
existing ones can be tested in confidentiality in our
facility. Pilot testing allows for the evaluation of every
particular of a proposed process to be thoroughly evaluated prior to
the commitment to a full-scale installation. |
A feasibility test is the initial
step in determining the proper type of equipment required for
design. If data does not already exist in our extensive
product files, the feasibility of processing a material can be
determined in our laboratory with quantities as low as one gallon of
liquid / ten pounds of solid material.
These feasibility
tests are conducted at no charge. Contact our laboratory to
arrange for feasibility testing.
If a process appears feasible,
pilot testing in our facilities can be conducted to obtain heat
transfer, as well as other necessary engineering data for
design. Process equipment can be quoted with a process
guarantee upon successful pilot test program. |

Our Buflovak test facility
includes a distillation column, both single and double drum dryers,
vacuum double drum dryers, a rotary dryer, and a pan filter
dryer. Evaporation equipment includes tubular, plate, and
agitated thin film evaporators. Unbiased comparison studies on
all these evaporators can be conducted in our facility.

| A dedicated process boiler
provides steam up to 130psig, a hot oil system is used for high
temperature applications (up to 650°F). A central vacuum
system is available for use on our equipment. Steam jets can
be utilized for high vacuum applications. |
Rental equipment from our lines is
available for testing at a customer's facility. Equipment
sizes range from countertop units for feasibility analysis to larger
pilot scale equipment for semi-production. Availability
changes daily; check with the laboratory for a current listing of
rental units.
